- Nelson Park & Guyant Park use agreements.
- S. Main St. drainage issue.
- Tom Orsund Memorial Foundation 11u softball tournament fee for Nelson Park.
- Bathroom lock replacements at Freddie’s Home Plate.
- Fees for use of Freddie’s Home Plate, the other building at Nelson Park, Brush Site, Truck use – do we recommend any changes to these fees to the Finance Committee? Current fees are:
- FHP – $100 per day for residents, $150 per day for non-residents.
- Nelson Park building – $25.
- Brush Site – $3000 for Town of Amherst, $500 Village of Nelsonville.
- Truck use – $25 per load of yard debris, $50 per load of clean fill, $100 fine per load of prohibited materials.
- Preliminary discussion of early 2026 Public Works Committee Priorities. The Committee will not discuss all of these at this time but rather will agree what we want to address in early 2026. This list may include but is not limited to:
- Review of ordinances to determine which provisions we should be enforcing.
- Development of procedures for enforcement.
- Review of penalties as stated in our ordinances.
- Revisions to existing ordinances to address procedures. For example, if a right of way isn’t being mowed, can we update our ordinance so that if we mow it for safety reasons, we can charge the property owner for our time and wear and tear on equipment.
- Review of concession stand agreement with Orsund Memorial foundation in January or February.
- Nelson Park ballfield enhancements requested by users at our August meeting at Nelson Park.
- Possible meeting with Nelson Park ball field users regarding items such as who controls when games are cancelled and other concerns raised in our August meeting.
- Completion of Rivers Grant projects.
- Determine agenda, date and time of next meeting.
